Abstract: The aim of the paper is to give necessary and sufficient conditions for exp(- ||Ta||p) to be the characteristic functional of a Radon measure on E , where E is a Banach space with topological dual E', T -linear continuous operator from E' into L , p and 0 < p < 2.
